The Third Vice President of the United States (1801–1805); serving during President Thomas Jefferson's first term, Aaron Burr remains an important historical figure. Known mostly for the duel with Alexander Hamilton that would see Burr's shot enter the abdomen of Hamilton, formally crowning him the winner. Offered here is an extremely early July 16, 1788 bank check for two pounds, four shillings, signed at the conclusion by Burr in bold black fountain pen. Overall in good condition with minor wear and slight staining to the edges. A rare and highly desirable collectible! Authenticated & encapsulated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
