When it comes to main-stream music signatures, Bob Marley is easily one of the most highly coveted & hardest to obtain in the hobby. Despite Marley’s relatively short life (1945-1981) his music & cultural legacy still lives on while transcending multiple generations. Combining his native sound of Jamaica and the driving beat of American R&B, Marley and his Wailers created a whole new genre of music. Marley and the reggae sound he pioneered would explode during the 1970s, inspiring musicians as diverse as Eric Clapton and The Clash. His influence has only continued to grow almost 40 years after his death. Of the scarce signatures that do surface, most are cut signatures & personalized as Marley had a habit of doing, but offered here is an extremely scarce non-personalized black & white ONSTAGE photograph - the first Marley signed photograph of any kind we have ever offered! It allows us a peek into his music career, with his unbridled passion painted clearly on his face. The 3.5" x 5" photo has been signed by Marley - "Jah, Bob Marley" - a seldom seen non-personalized autograph! Overall in excellent condition with no major flaws to speak of.
