If you ask anyone who was fortunate enough to see Roberto Clemente play during his seventeen year career as a Pittsburgh Pirate, they'll tell you Clemente was poetry in motion when he was patrolling right field. Whether he was catching a seemingly impossible ball in deep right field and throwing out a runner headed for third, or making a catch and twirling around se he threw it back into play, he was a joy to watch. He was also no slouch with the bat, achieving the elusive 3000 hit mark, with this fantastic offering assisting him in some of those hits. This 36 inch, 38.9 ounce Hillerich & Bradsby G105 bat dates to 1969, one of the many years Clemente won the Gold Glove Award and was named an All-Star. Featuring the distinctive knobless format favored by this true baseball here, the bat exhibits outstanding game use according to the experts at PSA/DNA, who reference a wide array of ball marks on the barrel and a handle crack, as well as a deeply scored left barrel, a common characteristic of Clemente's bats. One of the most unique bats in the hobby hammered with use! Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full Letter of Authenticity & grading of GU-9!
