Schwellenbach. The photograph was produced by Harris & Ewing. In fine condition. This impressive political ensemble was photographed just prior to leaving for Truman's 1947 State of the Union address, which was notable for being the first address ever to be televised. Margaret Truman, the couple's only child, would go on to become a renowned classical soprano, actress, radio & television personality, journalist, and New York socialite. She accompanied her father on numerous campaign trips and helped boost Truman's popularity with the media.
