John F. Kennedy's personally owned “USS Kitty Hawk” Zippo lighter, 1.25" x 2.5,” given to JFK while in office. Lighter depicts the USS Kitty Hawk in colorful fashion, and is accompanied by two Letters of Provenance from Kennedy’s well-known secretary, Evelyn Lincoln (identical content, one handwritten and the other typed) who writes to noted collector Robert White: “On June 6, 1963, there was a Pacific Fleet Presidential Demonstration. This cigarette lighter, which you now have in your possession, was given to those who were invited to board the Kitty Hawk up the coast…This lighter was the one given to President John F. Kennedy and was put in his luggage and brought back to the Oval Office.” In fine condition, with expected wear from age. Nice, displayable piece of Kennedy history, from the last year of his celebrated life, and bolstered by impeccable provenance.
