1974 would be a historic year for the former Beatles singer/songwriter John Lennon. Seeing his final appearance live in concert on November 28, 1974, and the release of "Walls & Bridges," all while taking his notorious "Lost Weekend". Lennon was drinking heavily and having issues between himself and Yoko Ono, specifically with Mia Pang, all while remaining secluded from the public. Being the turmoil in Lennon's life at the time, any signed material during 1973-1975 is considered extremely scarce, especially photographs or albums. Offered here is one of the finest single signed John Lennon Photographs to ever hit the open market! This 8" x 10" promotional Capitol Records photograph has been boldly signed in blue pen by Lennon who adds "To Gabi, Ich liebe dich (I love you), John Lennon 74", while also adding a self sketch over the apple records text. It's worth noting this photograph has never been offered to the public, and the former owner, Gabi, is a German woman who was visiting Los Angeles at the time of the 1970's and ran into Lennon at a dinner where he took a liking to her. Given the timeframe, quality of signature, contrast & sketch, this remains one of the finest Lennon single signed photographs we have ever seen! Overall in fine condition with minor discoloration & handling wear to the edges. Authenticated by Beckett/BAS with a full letter of authenticity.
