Excellent signed scallop-topped ship's pass document as president, one page, 11" x 14.5", July 2, 1842. Tyler gives a pass to "the Barque Emma of Westport, Charles Ball master or commander...mounted with no guns navigated with 23 men to pass with her Company Passengers, Goods and Merchandise without any hindrance, seizure or molestation." Nicely signed in full by Tyler at the conclusion as well as Secretary of State Daniel Webster. Some toning and areas of paper loss, otherwise fine, with the white paper seal affixed to the lower left remaining fully intact. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
