Two-page TLS, dated September 19, 1953, on watermarked cream stationery signed by American songwriter and composer Cole Porter (1891-1964), as “Cole" in blue ink, and with typed notation: "From: Cole Porter" at upper left. In fine condition. Page measures 7.25" x 10.75”.

In this letter to theater producer Cy Feuer (1911-2006), Porter wrote: "I enclose the list of tunes which Metro intends to use for my Cavalcade picture, but this is subject to change.” The second page of the letter features a list of 15 songs referred to in Porter’s letter, beginning with “What is This Thing Called Love,” and ending with “Just One of Those Things.” The “Cavalcade picture” referred to by Porter was MGM’s upcoming musical biopic “The Cole Porter Cavalcade.” Accompanied by (John Reznikoff/University Archives) listing sheet.
