Pair of two ALSs, each on one page of white paper, handwritten and signed in black ink by actor Bill Robinson. The first, measuring 5” x 8,” is undated, and reads in part: “The word ‘copacetically’…means that ‘Everything is alright,” and signed at the conclusion, “Bill.” The second larger and more detailed letter, measuring 6.5” x 10.25,” and dated Oct, 14, 1925, in part: “I am very glad to know that you enjoyed my act. Such inspirations as your letter contains gives me more courage and energy to bring my admirers a bigger and better act each season,” and signed at the conclusion with his full name, “Bill Robinson.” In overall fine condition, with a few spots of soiling to the smaller letter.
