Vintage photo, 3.25" x 5.25", bearing a photograph of the Dalton Gang “At the Scene of the Dalton Bank Robbery at Coffeyville Kansas, October 5, 1892,” where the gang robbed the town's two banks of nearly $25,000 before being ambushed by angry town citizens. Photo bears a lengthy caption beneath the image. In fine condition.

From the archives of famous Old West photographer John Tackett.

John Tackett owned a photography studio in Coffeyville, where he would capture the famous images of the Dalton Gang after the Coffeyville raid. Tackett would also go on to collaborate with Emmett Dalton in order to write, film, produce and distribute a movie about the raid.
