"The Kid" was a hero to millions of fans in the 1990's and 2000's, retiring with easy first-ballot Hall of Fame numbers. As only one of eight members of the elusive 600 home run club, Griffey easily could have seen more dingers in his day if it wasn't for health issues following his tenure withe the Mariners. Offered here is one of those rare & desirable Mariners 1991-97 era game used baseball bats by Ken Griffey Jr. Measuring 31 1/2" long and weighing in at 30.2 ounces, this gamer comes from the magical era where Griffy was known as "The Kid" playing along his father Ken Griffy Sr. Griffey had some fun with his bats, being one of the few players to have nicknames on his label including "Cash Money Brothers (CMB)" & the offered "The Kid." Overall in fine condition with light use including minor ball marks. Originally gifted to Tony Gwynn, this lumber comes accompanied by an sworn letter of use from the Gwynn family & we guarantee this lot to pass MEARS Authentication with a grade of A-5 or higher, and full certification can be arranged for an additional fee (please contact us at Contactus@iconicauctions.com for further details).
