This letter, measuring 7" x 9", is typed on White House letterhead and dated February 9, 1926. It is signed by President Calvin Coolidge, apparently turning down an invitation to a State Committee Banquet extended to him by Mr. Francis Prescott. Full letter reads, "I wish you would extend my greetings and good wishes to the members of the State Committee and the Legislature at their dinner on the 24th. I feel that in addressing old friends there is no need for extended utterance or strong appeal, and that those gathered on this occasion can be relied upon for a record of effective action which will assure political success." He hand signs the letter in steel tip pen. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
