This rare dual-signed 11" x 14" black & white photo dates back to 1972, when a 12-year-old Wayne Gretzky met his idol, Gordie Howe, the then-undisputed greatest player in the game. Howe seems to have taken an immediate liking to Gretzky, giving him the legendary "Mr. Hockey" hook. Little did they know at that time just how intertwined their lives and careers would become. The photo was taken at the 1972 Kiwanis "Great Men of Sports" Dinner in Brantford, Ontario by the late Jack Bowman of the Brantford Expositor. Signed by both legends, Gretzky in black and Howe in silver felt tip. In excellent condition. Accompanied by full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
