England's Pink Floyd transcended its beginnings as a psychedelic R&B cover group to become a highly inventive, technically gifted space rock band that sold out stadiums throughout the '70s and earned its place in the classic rock pantheon with numerous platinum-selling albums. After the departure of lyricist/bassist Roger Waters in the early '80s, the band entered hibernation as Waters and guitarist/vocalist David Gilmour fought over the legal rights to the band's name. After a settlement, Gilmour, along with founding members Richard Wright (keyboards) and Nick Mason (drums) continued on as Pink Floyd, releasing new albums and touring twice in the late '80s and '90s. Offered is a scarce signed 1977 “Animals” LP by three of the four original members of the band in silver felt tip marker: Roger Waters, David Gilmour & Nick Mason (no Richard Wright due to his passing in 2008). Adding to the desirability of the album is a fourth autograph from Storm Thorgerson, the artist behind the cover of "Animals" as well as the legendary "Dark Side of the Moon". We have seen a recent spike in Pink Floyd memorabilia as of late as there sound is generally accepted by nearly every generation. Due to the rift, it is highly uncommon to see Gilmour and Waters signing on the same piece. Don't miss out! Overall in fair condition with scattered impressions and rubbing around the cover.
