Partly-printed, one-page vellum land grant, approximately 10” x 16”, dated May 15, 1823, and signed “James Monroe” by the 5th President of the United States. The document is also cosigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office, John McLean. The seal in the lower left corner is intact and the document is in overall fine condition with several vertical folds and some light staining and foxing. Monroe’s signature is exceptional! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
