Land grant, 9" x 14", November 10, 1830, in which President Jackson grants a parcel of land to George Nash of Jefferson County, Alabama. Signed at the bottom as president, "Andrew Jackson," in black ink. Overall in fine condition with five heavy vertical folds and one horizontal which have been minimized as much as possible with framing. Some paper loss on a couple of the fold lines. The Presidential seal remains mostly intact, with portions missing. Later in Jackson's administration, the task of signing land grants was relegated to the a secretary, so this document is rare! It is countersigned by the Commissioner of the General Land Office Elijah Hayward. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
