In 1927, Babe Ruth set the record for most home runs in a single season, at 60 homers. The record stood for 34 years until Roger Maris hit his 61st home run of the 1961 season on October 1st, in the final game of the regular season. It's only fitting, then, that Maris should go onto sign this 1983 Babe Ruth First Day of Issue display print in blue ballpoint pen. Two of the greatest Yankees - even greatest players - of all time, commemorated in one piece. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
