This 16" x 19.5" vellum document was signed on December 20, 1876 by Ulysses S. Grant as President and James D. Cameron as Secretary of War. The document appoints Charles Morton as the First Lieutenant in the Third Regiment of Cavalry in the U.S. Dark blue embossed seal affixed to upper left remains creased but intact. Archivally matted and framed with an engraved portrait of Grant bearing a facsimile signature to an overall size of 32.75" x 28.25". Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Steve Grad/Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
