Although Rickey Henderson notoriously bounced between teams throughout his 24 year baseball career, he made quite the name for himself in his 4 1/2 years with the New York Yankees. In his time there, he set the franchise record for stolen bases, broken only by Derek Jeter in 2011. Offered here is a New York Yankees payroll check from Henderson's first year with the team, dated 12/13/1985 for the amount of $3127.80. Endorsed on the reverse by Henderson. The check has normal cancellation stampings and notations there is a small amount of smudging to the "R" in Rickey. Overall in find condition.
