George Washington's contribution to the foundation of the United States of America cannot be overstated - and neither can the rarity and investment potential of his autograph. With virtually everything bearing his penmanship being absorbed by museums and institutions, Washington's signature has been elevated to the mythical status that it so properly deserves. With that said, we are proud to present this exquisite example of Washington's penmanship. Extracted from a colonial document, this 1.75" x 3" signed clipping features a bold "G.o. Washington" autograph that stands as one of the hardest to obtain in the whole hobby. The clipping exhibits vertical creases, spots of toning, and a red ink smudge. Washington's autograph remains flourishing, with some fading at the creases. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
