Considered by many one of the greatest U.S generals of all-time, Ulysses S. Grant would see rise through the ranks all the way to President of the United States. A graduate of West Point, Grant started his service in the Mexican-American War & later led forces in the Civil War, taking control of heated Kentucky & most of Tennessee for the Union. Offered here is a superbly signed 2" x 3.5" album page by General Grant, dated May 9, 1885 - just over two months prior to his death! - in New York. Considering he was in very poor health at this time, the signature and inscribed date are superb! Overall in fine condition with slight toning. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
