Offered here is a 16" x 20" one page appointment, Dated December 20, 1904, that has been signed by both Theodore Roosevelt and William Taft. This is a rare document signed by two Presidents. Taft signed this document prior to his Presidency, as the Secretary of War under Roosevelt. The document is promoting Robert C. Richardson to serve as Second Lieutenant of Cavalry. Two areas of paper loss to the left of Taft's signature have been professionally repaired and the loss affected only two words of text and grazed Taft's signature. It has the blue seal intact and affixed to the lower left. The item will be accompanied by a Full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
