One was a boisterous playboy, the other a quiet introvert, but they shared a preternatural gift for the long ball and three World Championship celebrations during their fruitful partnership. It's the most essential "duo" ball in the collecting hobby, the Babe takes up his standard sweet spot position in black fountain pen ink on this official Spalding baseball, with Gehrig on the panel. The ball exhibits general handling wear, with both autographs having faded considerably over time. In addition, per PSA/DNA's letter of authenticity, there is an inscription on the south panel written in an unknown hand (although it seems to date the ball to 1928 in Des Moines, Iowa). Overall, however, a fine relic memorializing the end of a special era in the Bronx. While Ruth/Gehrig combo balls are quickly becoming one of the most sought-after selections in the market, here is your chance to own one at a competitive price! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
