Veronica Lake was a popular actress of the 1940s known best for playing the femme fatale. It is also rumored that she helped influence the beloved Jessica Rabbit's characterization in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?". Unfortunately, her career began declining in the late 1940s due to her alcoholism. She passed away at the age of only 50 years old due to kidney complications and hepatitis. Offered here is a beautiful 8" x 10" sepia toned photograph of the sultry beauty, signed "To Jack, May good luck, health and happiness always be you'res [sic]. As ever, Veronica Lake (Connie)". While any item signed by the classic starlet is rare, to see her sign with her real name "Connie" (she was born Constance Frances Marie Ockelman) is highly rare and desirable. In good condition with a beautiful signature and inscription. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
