Oversized 16" x 20" photograph inside Notre Dame's stadium, signed by Rudy Reuttiger (made famous by the 1993 movie "Rudy") with a hand-written quote inscribed. Full inscription reads: "November 6, 1975 - Final dress list posted for final home game in 1975. Posted list outside the locker room after practice. List did not have my name - only chance to dress for a game! Disappointment. Odds were against me. 4 seniors went into the coaches - one senior gave up his uniform "Pat Sarb" announcement at practice - thank God for my janitor friend. Inspired me to get back out there. It was great. Change to dress list and I was chosen. Very thankful. But, I almost quit. Went to the pre-game dinner. Finally felt like I was part of the team. Game day was awesome. Got to dress in the most hallowed locker room in college football. Running out on the field was awesome. Surreal - crowd cheering for the team as we ran onto the field. It was a dream come true! Game starts Notre Dame taking the lead from Georgia Tech. At halftime I wanted to play - and there is a whole new purpose. 4th quarter com and time was running out. 27 seconds was left in the game when the student body started chanting Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! Adrenalin and now it was my time. The coaches put me in on kickoff. Ball was placed on the 20 yard line. 5 seconds left in game. Playing end (defensive). All I knew that Rudy Allan was going down. As the ball was snapped my instincts went into action. Juke to the right - shifted left - and there he was. Rudy Allen right in front of me - all 6'5" of him. Tackle him. Teammates come running out. The clock ran out. Teammates pick me up and carried me off. There is not a better feeling. Novem 8 1975. The carry off." Signed at the conclusion "Rudy Ruettiger".
