Orlando Cepeda burst into Majors in 1958, slashing .312/.342/.512 for the San Fransisco Giants all the way to a NL Rookie of the Year award, but lacked an All-Star appearance. Cepeda wouldn't disappoint like so many in his Sophomore season, slashing an even more impressive .317/.355/.522 at the ripe age of twenty-one, getting his first nod to the midsummer classic, the 1959 MLB All-Star Game on July 7th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Forbes Field. Cedpeda would not only start, but play the entire game at first base helping secure a 5-4 victory for the NL squad. Offered here is an incredibly rare one-of-a-kind Adirondack 114A flame burned ash 35 inch, 32.9 ounce game used baseball bat by Orlando Cepeda during his first of seven All-Star games. This un-cracked lumber shows moderate use, typical of All-Star bats, with a few ball/stitch mark transfers and light pine tar. Also present is a event specific "1959 ALL-STAR" deep stamp seen on the barrel. Simply one of the finest Cepeda gamers to surface! Authenticated & graded GU 8 by the experts at PSA/DNA.
