Mickey Mantle was, quite simply, one of the best baseball players of his generation and one of the greatest members ever of the New York Yankees organization. A rookie in 1951, Mantle would play 18 seasons with the Bronx Bombers and finish his Hall of Fame career in 1968 with 536 home runs, 1,509 runs batted in, and a career batting average of .298. He slugged his way through an incredible career and is now a legend. What better way to remember a batting legend than this post career offering. This Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model Mickey Mantle baseball bat hails from his post career days c. 1977-79, most likely for an old-timers game. Although the 35 inch 30.7 oz lumber shows moderate use, the use cannot be determined as by Mantle, yet does display use on both sides making this likely used by the Mick! A cheaper variation of what is typically unobtainable on a budget! Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
