Heartfelt 8.5" x 11" handwritten letter signed at the conclusion "Walter Johnson," in bold black ink. Letter to Mrs. Partafee, in full: "I enjoyed reading the clipping and I think it's fine 'Rich' is interested in getting autographs. I am sure no one would turn him down if they could see that smile on his face. I hope he will be good as ever soon and with a fine mother to look after him I am sure he will be. My five children lost their mother more than ten years ago and I know what a good wife and mother means to a family. Best wishes always."
