Partly-printed, one-page vellum land grant, approximately 13.25” x 8.25”, dated April 26, 1816, and signed “James Madison” by the 4th President of the United States. Via this document, Monroe grants John Wilkin, of Washington County Pennsylvania...the South and quarter of section fourteen of township seventeen, in range eleven of the lands directed to be sold at Canton by the Act of Congress.” The document is in fine condition with intersecting folds and scattered surface rubbing and wear. Monroe’s signature is exceptional! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
