This original, engraved document is printed on a high quality parchment paper and measures approx. 27" x 14 1/2". It is dated June 6th, 1903 and appoints Albert W. Sioussa to be a Notary Public in Washington, D.C. The document is boldly signed at the lower right hand corner - "Theodore Roosevelt" and is also signed by Philander C. Knox as Attorney General. There is an affixed, embossed paper seal of the United States Justice Department (featuring an embossed image of a spread wing eagle perched atop a federal shield) at the lower left hand corner. The Parchment sheet is generally clean and crisp and retains its original, full and wide margins. There are light, central vertical and horizontal creases and the document has been mounted on a late 20th century artist’s board. Overall the document is well preserved and displays beautifully. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
