Presented here for your bidding consideration is an Ibanez hollow-body wood grain finish acoustic guitar that was used by Simon to play the song "Ceceilia" for the staff of Senator Thad Cochoran during a visit to the Senator's office. According to a letter of provenance provided by a former staffer for the late Senator, Simon stopped by the Senator's office during a visit to Washington DC to discuss the AIDS epidemic in Africa. After his discussion, Simon agreed to play a song for the Senator's staff and concluded session by signing the guitar he played, which is the one presented in this auction offering. Simon's bold black felt tip marker autograph is beautifully placed on the guitar's body. In overall excellent condition. Accompanied by a Letter of Provenance attesting to the guitar's usage.
