"The Godfather" is widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema, and one of the most influential. It has been deemed "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" by the U.S. National Film Registry of the Library of Congress, and ranked as the second-greatest film in American cinema by the American Film Institute. Along with the legendary status of the film itself, Marlon Brando's portrayal of Don Corleone was a turning point in the actor's career. Despite his extraordinary fame, his autograph has remained exceptionally rare, and to see it connected with any "The Godfather" memorabilia is irrefutably scarce. We are proud to present this extraordinarily rare and desirable black & white 8" x 10" official Paramount promotional still from "The Godfather", beautifully signed by Don Corleone himself, Marlon Brando, in black felt tip marker. The photo has been well preserved. A couple of trivial surface impressions to the front, and some paper loss and remnants of mounting to the reverse (see image). The photo stands in overall fine condition and the autograph is bold across Brando's gray suit. This is the first official "Godfather" photo signed by Brando that we have ever seen!
