Martin Luther King Jr. will be remembered for many things, but, toward the end of his life, Dr. King devoted significant time and energy to strengthening what were becoming increasingly strained ties between black Americans and U.S. Jews. King would write & speak often regarding Israel & the Jewish religion, including during the time of this 1963 offering. Presented for you bidding pleasure is this 4" x 7" original Shabbat service program boldly signed on the front cover by Martin Luther King Jr. in near-mint black ballpoint. Notes can be seen in an unknown hand on the interior of the program outlining Dr. Kings sermon that day. Overall in fine condition with uneven toning. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity & grading, with King's exceptional autograph receiving a strong MINT 9 grade!
