Getting this album signed by all four members of the group was no small feat, taking a full decade and two continents to be completed. First, the album was signed by the late Richard Wright in 2006 in Frankfurt, Germany. Seven years later, in 2013, it was signed by Roger Waters and Nick Mason (also in Frankfurt). Then the impossible became possible, and in 2016 the album was signed by David Gilmour in Los Angeles when the notoriously tough signing Floyd guitarist broke down and signed for a handful of collectors at an event for his wife's book release. It has become well known that Gilmour and Waters do not get along, and Gilmour has essentially abandoned all ties to Pink Floyd, refusing to sign any Pink Floyd memorabilia--especially albums! (no reported accounts of Gilmour signing for collectors has come since the 2016 encounter).
While Floyd complete albums are desirable and coveted in any form, this is not only the finest complete signed example of "Ummagumma" that we've seen, but arguably one of the finest completes in existence, period.
