There’re only a handful of bands that transcend the generations quite like the progressive rock band Pink Floyd has with popular culture. With their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, and elaborate live shows, Pink Floyd may be more popular now than ever. Despite the band being together for nearly five years, Pink Floyd didn't see much mainstream success until their first number 1 album, ‘Atom Heart Mother‘, in 1971. Once it clicked, it really clicked. Pink Floyd would ring off from 1973-79 some of the best rock n' roll LP's to ever be produced with the likes of The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and capped off by the masterpiece known simply as The Wall (1979). Despite what looks like incredible success in the 1970's, Pink Floyd would have their backs against a proverbial wall when producing their 1979 LP following negligent investments by the band. Despite the financial crisis & internal rift between Pink Floyd at the time, The Wall would top the Billboard chart in the US for fifteen weeks, while later being ranked number three on the RIAA's list of the all-time Top 100 albums, with 23 million certified units sold in the US. Offered here is a Fender Squier Stratocaster guitar with custom airbrushed "The Wall" artwork, signed by Roger Waters of Pink Floyd in blue felt tip marker on the pickguard. In excellent condition, this is a one-of-a-kind guitar featuring the artwork from one of the best albums of all time and an autograph from one of the band members who made it all possible.
