Abraham Lincoln's successor, Andrew Johnson. Sadly due to reconstruction policies Johnson was impeached shortly after being named President. His reign in the public light was short & filled with a country in parole after losing it's leader. For this reason among others, signed Carte-De-Visite images, a very expensive process at that time, are considered an extreme rarity in the highly collectible CDV market. Offered here is a 2.5" x 4" uncommon image of the three-quarters pose Johnson signed on the lower border in bold black steel tip ink. Overall in fine condition with minor handling wear & stray ink to the lower right front.
