Partly-printed vellum document, signed James Monroe as president and John Quincy Adams as Secretary of State, one page, 11.25 x 14.5, April 16, 1823. Scalloped-top ships paper issued for the Brig Francis Bristol, with nine men. In good condition, moderate wrinkling and creasing, scattered toning, intersecting storage folds, all of which does not affect the documents strong signatures and fine appearance. Original wafer seal is fully intact and present. Documents showcasing a full signature from Adams (who typically shortened his middle name with a simple Q. designation) are scarce! Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
