Just two months prior to signing this offering future President John F. Kennedy would be in a battle for his political life with Henry Lodge for the US Senate seat in Massachusetts. Kennedy would squeak by (51% to 48%) in what was a year dominated by the Republican party with President Dwight D. Eisenhower winning with 442 Electoral votes to Adlai Stevenson's 89, a vote that would end 20 consecutive years of Democratic control of the White House. This professionally framed & matted January 1953 letter was signed by President John F. Kennedy to a supporter who helped make John F. Kennedy's all important victory in Massachusetts possible. Overall in good condition with minor staining & horizontal/vertical creasing. Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a full letter of authenticity.
