Had history not intervened, Roberto Clemente would have worn Brooklyn Dodger blue instead of the Pittsburgh Pirates uniform of which now seems to be attire he was born to wear. He would go on to play for 18 seasons in the Steel City and collected exactly 3,000 hits. The now iconic Hall of Fame outfielder made his rookie card debut in the 1955 Topps series as part of the final run of high numbers. Graded SGC VG/EX 4. Great colors, fresh gloss.
