Offered here is a gorgeous gold-plated Oscar-inspired statuette signed on the base by Academy Award winner Sidney Poitier in black felt tip marker. The trophy stands 13.5" tall and weighs 2.5 lbs, and is in excellent condition. In 1964, Poitier became the first African American to win the Academy Award for Best Actor, for his performance in "Lillies of the Field". The signature was obtained in-person. <
