This 3" x 6.25" McCartney Productions LTD. business check has filled out in another hand and signed nicely in blue ink by Paul McCartney. This check was made payable to Sound City for £365 on November 2, 1971. In fine condition, with light handling wear. Given that the currency is in pounds and not in dollars, the payee, “Sound City,” is likely not the famed Los Angeles-based recording studio Sound City Studios, but rather the legendary guitar and amp store in London. This check has been encapsulated and authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services as well as Beatles expert, Frank Caiazzo.
