Here is an absolutely spectacular rare original February 1958 black and white Buddy Holly and The Crickets Coral Records promotional card that has been autographed on the front by the group in ballpoint pen. Buddy Holly has signed in black ballpoint pen, while Jerry Allison and Joe Mauldin have signed in blue ballpoint pen. The rare promo card was issued by Coral Records in February in 1958, and the autographs were obtained just days later at the group’s first ever UK performance at the Trocadero, Elephant and Castle, London on March 1st, 1958. Comes with the original ticket and programme from the show. Tragically, Buddy Holly would die less than 12 months later at the age of 22. Signed promotional cards by Buddy Holly and The Crickets are exceedingly scarce. To date, this is the finest example we have seen. The condition is excellent. The promotional card measures 8.75cm x 14.5cm (3.45 inches x 5.75 inches).
