Offered here is the ticket stub to the April 9, 1996 game between the New York Yankees and the Kansas City Royals. While any Yankees home opener is special, this one had particular significance as it was the first home opener for none other than the Captain himself, Derek Jeter! This example of that coveted ticket has been handsomely signed on the front side in blue felt tip pen. The stub shows minimal handling wear along the edges and stands in overall NM-MT condition. The autograph was acquired from one of Jeter's many private signings with Steiner Sports (now a division of Fanatics) and showcases a Steiner authentication hologram affixed to the back side of the ticket. Furthermore, the ticket is authenticated and encapsulated by SGC.
