Scarce Handwritten Letter from The Iron Horse Himself!

Brief note likely written as the Yankees traveled to our nation's capital to meet the Washington Senators illustrates the class and generosity for which the Iron Horse was famous. He writes, "Dear Mr. Leslie, I shall be only too glad to autograph your baseballs if you will forward them to Yankee Stadium at once. Thank you for your kind letter, Cordially, Lou Gehrig." All ink rates 9/10 or better. The single page on hotel letterhead is somewhat rumpled but the writing is none the worse for this wear. While Gehrig's signature is rare in any form, handwritten letters from this Yankee icon are extraordinarily scare and stand as some of the rarest and most coveted pieces of Iron Horse autographed memorabilia. This is the first Gehrig handwritten letter that we've handled in years! Don't miss the opportunity to add one to your collection! Accompanied by an Auction House Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA) and a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
