To this day, "The Godfather" is widely considered one of, if not the best, color motion picture of all-time. With only a six million dollar budget, director Francis Ford Coppola and novel writer Mario Puzo would put together one of the finest casts to ever be assembled. To get the ball rolling, the film would need a lead actor for the part of Vito Corleone, the Don of the Corleone family. Puzo, with a distinct vision, would send an established star, Marlon Brando, only one final script with a note reading "the only actor who can play the Godfather." Brando would go on to accept the role & the rest of the impressive cast such as Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Richard Conte & others would follow. With production almost completely halting on the film due to a serious injury to a young & unproven lead actor named Al Pacino, "The Godfather" didn't come without its issues. Nevertheless, the end result would be one of the highest grossing pictures ever made & three Oscars, with one naturally going to Brando. With the instant success of the film in 1972, many participants in the film would immediately see other film opportunities, effectively separating the group within months of the release. For that reason among others, cast signed "Godfather" items are extremely rare even with just the modern names. Offered here is an "The Godfather" laserdisc hand signed by Francis Ford Coppola, Diane Keaton, Robert Duvall & Al Pacino. Overall in fine condition with handling wear to the edges & minor paper loss. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
