On July 12, 1963, The Beatles would make music history without even knowing it, releasing their first EP record in Great Britain on Parlophone Records, entitled “Twist and Shout”. Upon release, the record promptly reached #1 in the U.K. charts – and stayed there for 21 weeks! Just a few months later, in October of the same year, the label Odeon would release the French version of the EP, featuring Twist & Shout as well as fan favorites She Loves You and Do You Want To Know A Secret. With an attractive cover featuring the young lads from Liverpool in their "Dezo Suits", as Dezo Hoffman captured The Beatles jumping mid-air, this original 45 RPM French release EP album has been signed by all four members of The Beatles - Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison & Ringo Starr - on the front cover, a rarity in itself, as Twist and Shout albums are typically seen signed on the reverse. Overall in good condition with some smudging to the brown ink of the signatures & handling wear to the edges. It's worth noting that Beatles complete signed EP’s are incredibly rare, even when compared to seldom-seen complete LP album 12" covers. To date, there have been fewer than 10 authentically signed Beatles EP covers known to surface, which makes this offering a true centerpiece type item for any Beatles collector. Adding to the allure of the piece is the beautiful framed display that it is presented in, with deluxe suede matting & laser cut logos, and an on-stage image. The original vinyl is also featured. A fabulous collector's item ready for immediate display! Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a full letter of authenticity.
