Amazing card from the 1939 Play Ball issue that features HoF legend Joe DiMaggio with the New York Yankees. The Yankee Clipper has also applied a strong black signature to the front, launching this cardboard into the upper echelon of desirability. Signed cards from the 1939 Play Ball series are scarce. Cards featuring top-tier Hall of Famer and hold 'rookie" card status are almost too much to ask for. Card exhibits some handling wear and creasing (see scans), none of which detracts from Joe D's superb autograph. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
