One was the best player in the most popular sport in America, the other a super star blonde bombshell on the silver screen - together they easily made one of the most significant "Power Couples" of all-time. On January 14th 1954, Joe DiMaggio would tie the knot with Marilyn Monroe for what seemed like a lifelong marriage. Unable to deal with the attention that was constantly on his wife, however, the Yankee Clipper was cited for many jealousy issues when married to Monroe, a marriage that only lasted 274 days. Due to their incredible popularity, their short time together, and their reluctancy to sign, dual-signed items of any sort are considered ultra-rare in the market place. Offered here is an impressive 3.5" x 5.5" souvenir postcard from Los Angeles' Bruce Wong Ming Room Restaurant, signed by the couple in blue ballpoint pen, "To Reginald, Best Wishes, From, Joe DiMaggio" and "Marilyn Monroe". It is easy to imagine the pair having a casual dinner on Restaurant Row when asked to sign this postcard by a fan. Overall in fine condition with some toning and two bits of tape residue to the corners. Easily one of the most desirable pairings in both Sport & Entertainment genres! Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
