Fantastic vintage original 7” x 9” glossy news photo of dainty First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy stepping out of a convertible in Houston, Texas. Reverse bears a “United Press International” stamp and an affixed typed caption, which reads: “Houston, Texas: Mrs. Jacqueline Kennedy alights from a convertible after a breezy ride into the city from International Airport, November Nov. 21st. To the amazement of some professional politicians the First Lady is attracting as much attention and shaking as many hands as her husband, the President,” In fine condition. A historic, rarely-if-ever seen image of Mrs. Kennedy arriving in TX to much fanfare the day before her husband’s assassination. Photo caption on reverse is dated November 22, 1963 the actual day JFK would lose his life in Dallas, and the iconic First Lady would never again appear quite as lighthearted as she does in this rare image captured mere hours before the most tragic day of her life.
