The year 1920 would serve as one of the most important in not only MLB history, but Yankee history as well. Babe Ruth would be sent from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees in a trade, one that is still questioned to this day. Essentially ending Ruth's pitching career, the Yankees thought it to be best that he focus on hitting, and it is safe to say that worked out for all parties involved. Relics from Ruth's early days with the Yankees and Red Sox are extremely rare given he wasn't yet at super-star status. This tremendous offering embodies a youthful Babe Ruth signature on the sweet spot by The Sultan of Swat during his humble start with the club that would mold his career, the New York Yankees. A desirable set of quotations has been carefully placed around the name "Babe", a key indicator to an early career signature! In black steel tip, the "Babe Ruth" autograph has stood the test of time on this creamy Goldsmith American League sphere. Overall in surprisingly good condition for its age, the ball has an even hue of toning and shows some signs of aging, with The Babe's signature standing out boldly & beautifully. Authenticated by PSA/DNA & James Spence Authentication (JSA) with full letters of authenticity.
